SITKA, AK — An unexepected turn in the weather brought in wind and cold but the fish and the fisher-folks still got together. The cold and wet lasted but a day and the next brought sunny skies and smooth seas for day two of the charter.
TOM GOLDSTON IS a veteran outdoorsman and catching king salmon like this still got him excited.
“We came up here hoping for some really big fish and we found them!” said Kim Hoffert of Carpinteria, California. Kim, and husband Barry Hoffert, were along for the Sitka, Alaska 2017 WON-Frontier Charters angling adventure.
Owner/operator Mac Huffman and his group had set up an itinerary that is just about perfect. All new gear was featured with Cousins Tributary salmon jig-sticks and Accurate Valiant 500 narrow reels as well on their fleet of boats.
Kim Hoffert made a few of her fishing dreams come true as did many others along for this 2017 charter.
With a complete Alaska fishing experience that includes all the comforts of home it’s no wonder anglers come back time and again to experience the scenic beauty and unbelievable fishing of Sitka, and the pleasure of doing it from a first-class spot like Frontier Charters and Lodge.
The complete story of this year’s WON Charter at Sitka, Alaska with Frontier Charters will be told in the next issue.
