Fished Lake Crowley Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27, 2017 with Sierra Drifters Guide Service. Sierra Drifters did an amazing job putting me onto fish. These two beauties are two of many caught and released. All fish landed on the fly. We caught browns, cut throats, rainbows and Sacramento perch.

I went fishing aboard the Eclipse out of Seaforth Sportfishing. We left Tuesday evening, Aug. 22, 2017. Fished Desperation Reef Wednesday and had an epic day flying the kite. We had a total of about 12 - 15 strikes landing 5 bluefin. The epic part was we ran out of yummy flyers, so we put a rigged sand dab on the kite and got fish! Then the crew rigged an 8" Swimbait to the kite and that produced the biggest of all our fish. Great boat, great crew, epic day.

Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, headed to Green Valley Lake. While fishing for trout, the mountain largemouths kept me busy with a steady bite on fish just under a pound and a nice kicker coming in at 2.5 pounds on the scale.

Headed up to Castaic Lake on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017 to chase the stripers again, despite the heat and the intense pleasure boat traffic that lately has simply been awful. We found a good school of willing fish in the 4- to 5-pound range. Lulu and me quickly captured 6 of them before they took off (we each got three). We added 4 more small ones trolling for a 10-fish bag. After 9 a.m., the heat and boat traffic seemed to dry up the fish activity for us, so we were off the lake and headed home by 11. At the exit inspection, CFW inspected our catch and checked licenses, so make sure you are all legal. The officer complimented the size of our fish while he counted them out on the deck of the boat.
