Another awesome day fishing... me and Rick both got limits and had to leave early, but as we were leaving I noticed this guy in a wheelchair across the lake that has been fishing all day with no luck. Went over there and had a conversation. Really cool dude. Long story short, we made his day by somehow all our fish ended up on his stringer to take home. All around, a great day on the water.

What a great lake. Wow, this summer Big Bear Lake is letting go of some really nice trout. I got this one fishing the south side of the dam right on the face throwing the 1/8-ounce gold Kastmaster again as always on 2-pound vanish. My digital Rapala reads 7.2 lbs. Thank you again for all your Great coverage.

Good bass bite at Silverwood Lake. Water temp is 68 - 70 degrees with 4 feet visibility. Bass will hit small swimbaits like the coolbaits underspin in the morning and finesse plastics when the sun is high. Caught fish in 2 feet of water to 14 feet of water. Most fish were 2 to 3 pounds, but also got an 11-pound 10-ounce Monster on a drop shot roboworm at noon.

I was running the 3/4 day trip on the Patriot out of Newport Landing, when Michael McDonald hooked in this 51½-pound White Sea Bass off Huntington Beach. (Weighed at Balboa Angling Club). Attached is a picture of me helping Michael hold up the fish after I gaffed it.

On my way home from work (Friday, June 9) I pulled over to hit a random secret spot my buddy Clayton told me about on the Owens. I caught my very first Brown! I lost a toad due to a poor knot. That won't ever happen again thanks to the San Diego Jam Knot my fishing mentor and friend Nate turned me on to. Thanks to my great friends, wonderful and patient wife for affording me such a great time!

My Dad has been bugging me to send you this photo. I caught this bass on the Parker strip last weekend. I used a trout lure because that's all I had. I caught a couple before this on the same lure but they weren't nearly as big.
