I saw the WON post on Facebook and thought I’d send in a few photos of my son Bradon Fletcher. Bradon is 7 years old, and he loves to fish more than anything and is learning tons from his dad (me) and his grandfather, Bob Fletcher. Bradon caught 5 yellowtail while fishing on the Sea Watch during the San Diego Yacht Club (SDYC) Junior Coastal Angler Tournament (JCAT). He ended up winning the tournament with a 21-pound yellowtail.

Here’s a quick fish report from my extended 2.5 day trip on the Eldorado last week. We fished the 43 and we landed 22 big bluefin tuna Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2017. All the tuna was in the 130- to 150-pound range. I landed my new personal best of 139 pounds. I used 80-pound Braid with an 80-pound top shot of fluorocarbon tied to a 4.0 Owner circle hook on my new Avet reel and my old Calstar rod. I had the time of my life! What a great fishing trip. I’ve been a long time WON subscriber

After reading the hot tip that bass were biting around the dam in Big Bear Lake, I decided to fish for smallmouth. I was rewarded on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2017 with 2 beautiful brown bass — one at sunrise and one at noon — both on flylined ’crawlers and 2-pound vanish weighing 2.3 and 2.5 pounds on the scale. Both fish were released. Thank you for the info. It made my summer complete.
