DAVIS LAKE

FISHING REPORT
Updated - 7/5/17

Courtesy of Kiene's America Fly Fishing Co

Current River Conditions: Lake level is high (101%) and water clarity is normal.

Water temperatures is in the high 50s and the fish are active. That being said the fishing is only so-so.  Bass have been eating up a lot of the smaller fish so only the large ones are left.

Fish are on the west side and are definitely on to Damsels.  Walk the west side looking for nervous water and cast a Damsel larva pattern with a slow retrieve.  Do the same from a watercraft or if in deeper water tie on a Pheasant tail or Hare's Ear Nymph and strip with a very slow (creeping) retrieve off of the bottom near the edges of weed beds.
