Hello All,

Wow, what a week at Convict Lake! The photo above was taken on Friday and helps show how full the lake is. This log normally sits on the shoreline. The water level at the lake continues to rise.  There is so much water that it flooded some of our dock area in the marina, but not to worry we are still open and are renting boats!  We have also had some flooding over near Shale Beach (see below photo). In other news the fishing has been great and it's officially Summer! We have started serving lunch out on the front lawn.  If you're up in the area be sure to stop by and say hello!

Tactics and Bait

This week was great at Convict Lake. The fish are hungry! Multiple fish over 5 lbs were brought in this week. Bubblegum mice tails continue to be a hit on the lake! Inflated night crawlers are also bringing in some good size fish!

Here is a list of other baits/lures that also work well: Panther Martins, Tasmanian Devils, green or brown Marvel Fly Lures, Kastmasters, NeedleFish, Roostertails, and garlic scented Powerbait.

This week we are expecting temps in the high 70's and low 80's with sunny skies. Nighttime temps remain in the high 40's.
